Blast From The Past! Happy Halloween!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Sorry about yesterday..FOOTBALL HAPPENED :) ....I will be making cards for the whole week, starting tomorrow :) ...So it has finally happened my child has decided he's done with trick or treating and we couldn't have been happier :) ...I had to show a picture of my family from 1997 before Cordell was born and before my nieces were born, we used to always trick or treat with my BIL and SisIL :) Those were the best days :) ....the second photo is Cordell and Chiy...Cordell was two months old and Chiy was 6.....O how time has flown!!!! Lots Of Pictures ..Rocks, Card Class & Journal

Hi Everyone!!!! Sorry I was tired yesterday so I didn't get to post but here's card class cards and I woke up this morning and was able to take a class with the nicest woman (Sheila) she taught me how to make this journal holder (I love it) ...and of course I was bummed, no Friday Funny but here he is today :) ..I have a Pilate's machine from QVC and Rocks loves to sit on it when I'm in the garage :) He's like hurry up and take your picture and let's go to bed hehehe.. I had another fabulous turnout for class but now I'm off to drink with the hubby and he's bar-be-cuing! O yumm!!!! and for Dessert Captain America and Carmel Apples from De Brito's (SCORE)!!!!! You're The Apple Of My Eye

Hi Everyone!!!! Does anyone else but me miss Ellen being on at 10am!? totally sucks :) Now at the 10 am time frame I'm watching The Price Is Right sheesh!!! (OK OK yes I do want tickets to be on the show hehehe but still)..It was always come home watch Regis And Kelly from 9-10 Ellen from 10-11 and Martha Stewart from 11-12..Now Regis is leaving and Ellen is gone...now I'm full of choices do I come home and go back to bed till 11 or get a job!? HMMMMM!!! Ya I choose SLEEP (so does Rocks)!!! LOL!!!

Dragonfly With Red And Black

Hi Everyone!!! I'm having fun making cards again :) ....Is there anyone watching X-Factor? I've been loving that show but last night I'm glad Simon didn't let that girl with attitude through, she creeps me out, when she opens her mouth I think she could swallow someone whole..I don't remember her name but she has gaps in her teeth and she had really red lipstick on..Umm yuck! So anyways loving the show but dislike the attitude LOL! ...I did like the last girl :) .. Back to the card, I used the sketch from Mojo Monday. I embossed the image in black (Just Believe #120453) The DSP is retired..Sorry! and I used the baker's twine again #123125 ... the brads and dragonfly charm is from my "stash"..I hope you all have a fantastic day!!! Framed Tulip

Hi Everyone!!!!! I decided to do something different and that is to use the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as my main border :) (Framed Tulips #121809) ..I used DSP called Letters To Santa #122349 and the image is from stamp set Easy Events #123225.. I used Baker's Twine Cherry Cobbler/White #123125....Pretty fun card to make :) ..I hope you have a great day! BL is on tonight! and I get the Petite Fours back from the quilter today..So pressure to bind it and get it done and ready to sell :) Can't wait to show you :)

Hi Everyone!!!! Well this morning after my run with my friend Laura ya know the one who pushed me while running a couple of months ago hehehehe!!!! I was going to come home and make a card but as I looked around my house I realized I haven't taken care of my house as good as I like, ever since I started quilting again I've been neglecting my chores, so today I am going to post my quilt that I made yesterday and go clean!!!! I'm looking forward to it. I like cleaning (no sarcasm whatsoever actually) I do :) ...I like washing windows and putting on a candle and feeling like my house is suitable for company :) ...I will do all that and I will be able to make a few cards for this week and not worry about my house looking like crud :) ...so I will see you all this week (everyday) with a card! I promise!!!

Is It Still Summer!?

Hi Everyone!!!!! Man O Man! it's hot around here :( ..can we get the cold yet (please!) ...I made this little quilt top last night :) ..I had to use Christmas prints to reassure myself that we ARE in Fall headed into Winter because as I was making it I was sweating! sheesh! ...So I decided to make a card in honor of this weather ..I used the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp ..the DP is from Basic Grey (Life Of The Party) ..The flowers are from Prima. The butterfly and gems are all from my "stash"..the image is from The Greeting Farm....I have to tell you that remember how I told you I was going to sew and watch the Psych marathon LOL! well Cordell would come over and say Hi every once in awhile and one of the times he came over he looked up and saw a part on Psych that made him laugh, so next thing I know he's watching the marathon TOO! I can hear him laughing! and now on the DVR there's Psych on the list :) ...Hehehe Love Him! :) ...It's Sunday! you all know what that means!? FOOTBALL!!!! whoo hoo!!!!! Jelly Roll Quilt and A Card ;0 )

A Prince Of A Dog And His Remote ;)

Hi Everyone!!!! I hit ya with a lot of pictures LOL! I couldn't resist..we were watching a movie and Rocks decided to lay on dad's pillow and hog the remote while he was at it :) ..If you touched the remote he would pop open an eye and stare you down LOL! ...Can you tell I'm still trying to figure out my phone..all of them were taken at the same time but one looks like it's daylight :) ...So is anyone else a fan of The Big Valley? I love that show even when I was younger, well between the hours of 12 and 2 they play two episodes, can I tell you I'm in heaven! yay! so I sew and watch it and smile because yep I'm getting old LOL! ...I also LOVE The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman! O Swoon when it finally comes out on DVD :) ..I will be back tomorrow to show you a card and my newest quilt top I have done :) I love it :) ..I have to tell you a quick story about my friend Agustina :) ..her birthday was yesterday (Happy Birthday!!!!) well Agustina is my OBGYN's nurse, so she's seen everything about me LOL!!! I have known her for years, when I started having card class she was first on board to come over, so she's a fun friend...anyways I see Agustina once a year in a professional manner, it wasn't till last year that she finally told me something about my Pee, see every year for the last 12 years I have gone and given a urine sample before my exam and I finally saw her throw it away and I'm like you didn't have to do anything with it? she's like no, it's only if your pregnant...UMMM WHAT!!!!! I have been peeing in this small cup all these years and you never said anything!? she's like no, it's not a big deal. I see it I dump it..(me) OMG!!!!! I have been doing this for nothing!? OMG!!! Agustina!!!!! sheesh!!!!! can you see I have been laughing about it ever since! it was only supposed to last 8 months and I have been donating it for YEARS!!!!! ..What a friend she is :) I hope you all have at least one friend like her :) .....

Pink and Purple..and some questions :)

Hi Everyone!!!! It's working!!!! I bought the Droid Bionic...Wheww! I have lots to show you this week too, so hello Verizon I need you! We have been with them since 1997 so I knew they would come thru for me :) ..I have been sewing like mad too..I'm obsessed with quilting, so forgive me but you will see more quilts here pretty soon :) ..do you think I should have a separate blog for my quilts or just keep them here?? I lost one follower probably got tired of my sporadic posts LOL! I'm sorry! my hand is in a lot of places right now, speaking of that I finally went out of my comfort zone and attended a Quilt Guild Meeting (Hi Sheila) and I will tell ya I had a BLAST!!!!! I am joining for sure :) ..it's been a long long time since I've been treated with kindness and courtesy, people usually take one look at me and write me off as a POS and walk away, so I don't bother BUT not this time :) ..I have NEVER done things by myself I usually have Tim or kids with me but some nice people invited me to this meeting and wow! I put my big girl panties on and went...boy o boy I'm glad I did :) ... I can't wait for the next one LOL!!!!..Sorry! can you tell I had fun LOL! Technical Difficulties

Hi Everyone!!!! I'm having Technical Difficulties on my end :( ..I bought a new phone last week and now I can't upload my pictures, well my phone is what I use to watermark, upload and crop, it's so frustrating! I have been on the phone with Verizon and their kinda stumped too, so they are supposed to call me in the next day or two..Ugh!!! I hope they understand that I have pictures to show you all and it's important that it gets done ASAP! :) ..So Tim and I were trying everything to get my picture uploaded and I shoved this file to the Spam folder and I was able to get it..wheww!! It hasn't worked since though...anyways this card was made using DSP called Beau Chateau #122357 ..the satin ribbon is Whisper White #114616 ...and the sentiment is from the Hostess set Tagtastic #122747...I used the sketch from Mojo Monday :) ..I hope I can find out what is happening with my phone and be back for tomorrow's post :) ..

Fun Time :)

Hi Everyone!!!! See I told ya I'd be late :) ..I had a blast at my mom's!!!!!! The top quilt is the one I did..it's not done I need one more border, there's a couple of new quilt shops that opened in my mom's town but their not up to snuff yet. So I couldn't finish it today :( so bummed but I get to go shopping again on Tuesday! whoo hoo! when it gets done and quilted I'll show it to you again!!! The second picture isn't the greatest but this is the quilt my mom did, she loves to applique..Umm ya it's time consuming and tedious, she loves it and she's great at it!!!! aren't the witches fantastic!? they have real eyelashes on them :) ..I should have taken a close up of them..darn it! I'm having so much fun quilting but I will be getting back to cards..my nieces birthdays are this week, so I need two original cards for them :) ..I better get busy! ...Have a great night!!!

Quilt Convention 2011 & Rocks

Hi Everyone!!!! WOW!!! I did not mean to neglect my blog for a whole week!!! time flew by..My mom and I have been looking forward to today for a month and a half (a major quilt convention that comes to the area once a year) well since I just got back into quilting again, it was the perfect time!!...I just got home, we finally stopped when we ran out of money 5 hours later!!! LOL!!! I will show you a picture of everything I bought. I'm so excited to start cutting LOL! so tomorrow I will be going to my moms house and we will be quilting all day, so I hope to show you a top :) ...Thank you for sticking with me :) ...I had to show you some quilts that were displayed that caught my eye, there was to many to show you here but click on the photo and see how much time these ladies devote to there craft! holy smokes!!! TALENTED!!!! and I of course had to show you a pict of Rocks..I took the blankets out of the drier went to put a new load in and before I could say HEY he was asleep :) silly boy! Hi Everyone!!!!..I thought since I've been throwing in a lot of Rocks I'd give you a break...and show a picture of Tim and Chiy for my Friday Funny :) ..Hi Honey!!! Love Ya!!!! hehehe...My mom made these costumes years and years ago..I think Chiy was 4 or 5, she's almost 19 :) ..Tim used to dress up every year when she was small. This and one more picture are all that I took, which is a big time bummer! Because there was one time that he was a bunny rabbit and yep... Bragging On My Mom :)

Hi Everyone!!! You asked so here it is..My mom won Best Of Show In Home Furnishings for this embroidered quilt!!!! I'm so proud of her...she entered a lot of things and all of her stuff placed :) So proud of her!!! She was so excited!!!! I should show you in the future some of her quilts, she's done a lot of them and a lot of them have a lot of work put into them :) ...She was even offered $500.00 for one but she didn't accept..Ummmm I don't know about you but that's a lot of stamps and paper I could buy with that money and maybe a cheesecake thrown in :)

Halloween and a Bedtime Story ;)

Hi Everyone!!!! I made this card this morning..Yay! So yesterday I was with my mom quilting and she asked me to pick up her fair stuff last night. I said sure ...she did NOT tell me that she entered all kinds of stuff! I was by myself by the way.... SO I had to carry a butt load of her stuff! I'm not sure if my mom knows that I'm super fat and carrying armfuls of fabric, crochet blankets and a tote equals EXERCISE! and ya I'm fat so that means I unintentionally was FORCED to use my legs, back, arms and I'll tell ya my heart was beating HARD! I had sweat on my upper lip (gross) sweat on my back and once I sat down I was breathing smoke because did I tell ya that I had to park about a half a mile away from the pavilion!!!! holy crap! THANKS MOM!!! (said with deep love and loud sarcasm)!!! ... If I hadn't already ate my months quota of food at her house I would have added points to my journal!!! So moral of the story ask before pick up! and show your mom that your stomach really protrudes and your arms are equal to T Rex's ......
