Hi Everyone!!! I am so excited for this hop because I have been procrastinating so badly on this quilt and it gave me a reason to finish it! it took forever..I machine appliqued all the characters and the final touch was accessorizing them..I LOVE IT! ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! It is so fun! My fave is the reindeer! I used to sketch Rudolph with lights tangled in the antlers all the time around Christmas - thanks for reminding me, haha!

ReplyDeleteSuper cute quilt! I love the snow bear and his scarf blowing in the wind. I too have a hard time picking out colors. I swear I spend more time agonizing over that than I do sewing the entire project.

i have to agree with you, i love rudolph. it rem!!inds me of my dog, heidi. she is a boxer/pit mix and dumber than a sack of hammers: lol she always makes me laugh. i love my other four legged best friend a couple of weeks ago. she was a gift after my daughter, an only child died in my arms. you and your hubby make such a beautiful couple! and i love your dogs. i am a new follower babscorbitt@gmail.com

I had a cross stitch (an expensive one with the gold plastic frame included) that was a reindeer with Christmas lights entangled in the antlers. You did an absolutely fabulous job. Adorable quilt but it is hard to go wrong with Amy Bradley's designs. You did a wonderful job on this! I would pick the reindeer as my favorite blocks. It reminds me of this silly Christmas card we received one year that my mom used for a gift tag for the youngest of us 6 kids. For as long as he lived at home, he got that "To Phil from Mom and Dad" card on one of his packages. One year she re-created it in ceramics and eventually it was lost. VBG

ReplyDeleteEach and every one of the characters are wonderful. When I had to pick, I had to go back over them two more times. Finally decided on Mrs. Claus but I love the snowman and the polar bear and Rudolf and the penguin. You get my drift? Wonderful quilt.
