Hi Everyone!!! sorry been on sick leave..I'm finally getting better! sheesh! being sick sucks..I made this card this morning and I like how it turned out but I don't like my picture, sorry for the glare..Turkey's are in the backyard so I couldn't go outside to take a better picture :) ..I went to my mom's on Saturday and she took me to a bead shop and O man! I bought so many charms for my cards that I can't wait to use them! One of them is this beautiful black butterfly heart..Love it!!! ..The sketch I used is a sketch from Mojo Monday but I forgot to upload it but it's this weeks challenge..The DP is Studio G ..the flowers, sentiment and ribbon are all from my "stash" ..the image is from The Greeting Farm...I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Spolier Alert for One For The Money!

Hi Everyone!!! Just got back from seeing One For The Money..ya not worth it :( pretty bummed..I absolutely love the books ..ALL but Stephanie Plums character pretty much don't fit the books..Ranger is not hot or buffed or mysterious blah! Hate that..even LULA! hello! she wears petite clothes and shes extra plus size..sheesh! not in the movie she wears normal clothes ..so silly!!! ugh! It could have been way better..so disappointed! ..O well! sorry about the spoiler but I love BOOKS and I hate when they destroy characters that work just to suit themselves ...
My Friday Funny is of course Rocks ..my baby :) I hope he brings a smile to your face when you see him :) ...well I am off to the doctors later and hopefully headed to my mom's tomorrow to sew all day..whoo hoo! plus my dad is barbecuing O YUM!!!

Lost Weight and Heart It :)

Hi Everyone!!! I did it!!! My hard work has paid off! I started WW and working out 3 times a day starting last Monday..well I weighed in this morning and I lost 8lbs!!!! So I am on my way to having 2 chins instead of 3!!! whoo hoo!!! I have found that I actually love to work out..I may be slow or uncoordinated but it's fun :) ..anyways enough of me..I made this card last night..I am thinking it's very pretty and simple..see I hate Valentine's Day..I really do, so this card was hard for me to create LOL! but what do you think? Because I have an awesome, fantastic husband who loves everything about me ;) (OK maybe not some things) :) but I do know he loves everything I make and even more so when it's for him :) ..so we went to our wonderful local quilt store Homespun Harbor (click on the highlighted link and it will take you to there website..she does ship) and he picked out this fabric that he wanted for a pillowcase ..He absolutely loves Hawaii and this screams vacation and drinks so here he goes..just for you BUTTY! Candied Jalapenos :)

Hi Everyone!!! well yesterday was the first day of my workouts, yep workouts. I'm trying to get 3 in for the day..let's see running 4 miles every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Elliptical for 5 minutes plus one extra minute a day (thank you Brandy) so today will be 6 minutes and so on :) and P90! and try to eat the right foods constantly which is hard but with WW and the food journal it makes it a little bit easier :) ..so I'm late in posting because yep I HURT! :) ...I will be back tomorrow with a card though :) ..I wanted to show you what Tim and I did together a couple of months ago ..We canned!!! wow it was kinda hard because we didn't have the proper tools..sheesh lesson learned but we had fun doing it..These little babies are Candied Jalapenos..I will share the link on how to make them..COWBOY CANDY....the only thing I would do different is add in way more heat because these little babies have the SWEET down and just a hint of heat..they are good on Hot Dogs but not on Hamburgers :) ..I hope you try it out for yourself ...Have an awesome night and can you believe the next BL is on tonight!!! sheesh!

Hi Everyone!!!.I have missed creating and blogging!!!!! Chiy went back home yesterday..I had such a blast with her this holiday season but now the fun ends..Tomorrow starts my training, in May Tim and I will be doing a Mud Run..it will have 11 obstacles and it's a 5K..O I'm excited! we will be starting WW again (love Weight Watchers) it does work :) and I can still have my candy and my carbs :)..I just bought an elliptical, so that should be fun too :) lots of new stuff happening this year..I hope for you too..I will be back on schedule now that everything is over and I hope to see you along with me :) I will be offering different things this year from projects to crafts and food..I'll throw in a WW recipe every once in awhile not all the time I promise :) ..but just to change it up a bit and show you I can do more lol! ..I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year!!! Hi Everyone!!! I have missed blogging but my daughter has been back with us since Thanksgiving and we have been enjoying our time as a family, so I might be scarce for a little while..I have been having a blast with my kids and hubby that taking time away from them will not happen..We watch Christmas movies each night as a family and Chiy and I have been baking, Cordell has been the taste tester :) ...so I hope you all are enjoying your time together..don't you feel like Nov and Dec came so quick!? sheesh! I blinked and now it's Christmas time! so anyways I miss blogging but my daughter will be moving back the 29Th and starting college in Jan. Bean Pot Peach Cake

Hi Everyone!!! (Again) :) .. OK so we just had dinner now we will have dessert! this peach cake my family LOVED!!!! but remember you can't make it unless you have a Celebrating Home Bean Pot! :) ;) ..It tasted just like peach cobbler! so good! Here's the recipe
Celebrating Home Peach Cake:
1 can of peaches (I used the huge can)
1 box of yellow cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter
Opt: Cinnamon
Put the whole can of peaches juice and all into the Bean Pot
top with all of the cake mix (smooth it out)
sprinkle with cinnamon if you would like (I liked) ;)
then cut butter into little patties and put them on top of cake mix (all over)
this time we are making dessert in the oven for 50 mins @ 350 degrees!
This was also a one pot wonder..the only dish I had was the knife to cut the butter! awesome!!!

Bean Pot Taco Soup ..

Hi Everyone!!! I wanted to do something different today and that is to show you how cool Celebrating Home's Bean Pot is to use! I made this taco soup last night for dinner and I only used 3 dishes! one: to cook the meat in and second: colander to drain meat and just this Bean Pot! super easy! delicious! and easy cleanup! so easy in fact that Tim washed it after dinner and I made Dessert in it!! so what an easy dinner and dessert! loved it! I do have a link on the top of my blog if you want to check out what we sell and a TON of products are discounted! ..I will share the recipe..you have to order the Bean Pot tho to make it ;) that's the only condition :) ...
Celebrating Home Taco Soup Recipe:
1Lb ground beef, cooked and drained..I used 2lbs because we are total meat eaters and like chunky meaty soup ;)
1 - 28oz can of kidney beans (do not drain)
1 - 28oz can diced tomatoes (do not drain)
1 -14oz can corn (do not drain)
1 to 2 packets of taco seasoning or Celebrating Homes Chipotle dip mix (I didn't have that in stock so I used reg taco seasoning..One whole packet of Hot and about 2tbls of mild) what FLAVOR!!!
Stick it ALL into your Bean Pot (which you can order from me) hehe
stir and stick the whole thing with lid into the microwave for 20mins! THAT'S IT!!!
ALL DONE!!! ENJOY!!!

Hi Everyone!!! OK I'm back to feeling good :) ..Well I started advertising myself on our local FB page, so welcome to the new people checking out my blog :) ..Look around, I hope you like what I create :) ...because I have new people who have never done this before I wanted to show them that you don't need a lot of supplies to create a one of kind, pretty card..This card was made to show you how fun and easy it is. It was made using one DSP (Designer Series Paper) ..All of SU paper is double sided which makes things so nice and versatile.. I have two embellishments on this card one ribbon (I absolutely love our satin ribbon and I can't recommend it enough :) get a white it can be used with everything.. The pearls are also from SU and I kind of have a trademark when it comes to my cards ..one being pearls, gems and the other paper piecing..I feel that brings out so much in a card :) the stamp sets you want to start off with are your basic (Birthday, anniversary Etc.. I chose to show you a very cool set from SU called Bring On The Cake #121958 ..this set has so many birthday images that it can be used for children or adults, can you tell that this card is for someones 38Th birthday..all you do is color in the numbers you need :) simple right? but fun. I personally sew on almost all of my cards because I like too hehehe but you don't have to that can come later on no worries... well if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment or email me..I do like getting people into card making and having fun that I'm always around to help :) .. On Sunday there was a sew day at our lQS and O what fun I had..this is my quilt :) it's made out of a Jelly Roll ..Look up on YouTube 1600 quilt race and wow those ladies are amazing :) .....and I just got in the mail today the new SU MINI! and ladies here's a tease..START SAVING YOUR MONEY!!!! OMG!!!! I wasn't thrilled with the Christmas mini but this one WOW!!!! they got it going on!!! Can't wait to use half of what's in it for Card Class!!!! Just got back from the Dct and yep sinus infection ;( ..so antibiotics and an inhaler so I can keep running Yay! :) ...OK so I was asked to make a Edward card remember? well I got sick and this card was stressing me out but I finally made it last night and even tho my head was hurting I like how it turned out..the lady who bought it for her friend liked it a lot too..so it was worth it :) ...what do you think? I'm on severe burnout..I'm tired and I have a sinus infection, so I will try to post tomorrow but no guarantees :( ...I have card class today and at least this part is FUN!!! but am I gonna pass out tonight..You betcha! :) :) ..These are the cards we are making tonight.. The picture is of Rocks trying to eat my card box (I think he's teething at 7 years old ;) But considering he tore holes in a good bra last night he's in big trouble! and he tore (ate) a corner piece of the blanket my mom made me ..so double big big trouble! Lucky I love him he just got a finger shake with a BAD BOY attached..Tim Say's I would have kicked his butt if he ruined my stuff (OK yes he's right) hehe but Rocks have you seen him!? Crazy Weekend!

Hi Everyone!!! Well I had a craft show on Saturday and I must say Chiy was my lucky charm, she sold a lot of my cards!!! I left them under a table and told her Eh they won't sell so I didn't bother putting them out..next thing I know I get a text from her saying I sold a lot of your cards! I'm like WHAT! no way!! LOL!!! and she did but it's kinda funny too because the only thing I had displayed was my Card Class Cards and she happened to sell one of the cards I had as my sample for this months card class LOL!!! so I will be making another one :) ..she's like hey I got you $4.00 for that one LOL!! Christmas..Twister and A Story About Boobs ;)

Hi Everyone!!! OK so STORY-TIME!! So a couple of weeks ago I was told by two people how they see me "walk" with my friend..Ummm WHAT! It has taken me MONTHS to be able to jog/run 3 1/2 miles without stopping, so I take great offense to this :) ..let me tell you when you see a WOMAN who has more then a handful of breasts then you will understand that when a woman WALKS her breasts swing from side to side (like the commercial with the little birds swaying back and forth having a good time) :) that's walking!!! ...when a woman's boobs are going up and down (think of singing the song, mama gonna knock you out) that's jogging/running, so my boobs are constantly SINGING THE SONG! so get it people, that would mean I'M JOGGING/RUNNING NOT WALKING!!!!! ...OK I feel better... :) :) :) LOL!!!!!!! My rant for the day is over...moving on :) ..this card was made using DSP called Letters To Santa #122349 and the pretty glitter brads are Glimmer Brads brights #121006..the flowers are from Prima ..the sentiment is from the set Warmest Of Wishes #122672... Sorry I was tired yesterday so I didn't get to post but here's card class cards and I woke up this morning and was able to take a class with the nicest woman (Sheila) she taught me how to make this journal holder (I love it) ...and of course I was bummed, no Friday Funny but here he is today :) ..I have a Pilate's machine from QVC and Rocks loves to sit on it when I'm in the garage :) He's like hurry up and take your picture and let's go to bed hehehe.. Hi Everyone!!!! Does anyone else but me miss Ellen being on at 10am!? totally sucks :) Now at the 10 am time frame I'm watching The Price Is Right sheesh!!! (OK OK yes I do want tickets to be on the show hehehe but still)..It was always come home watch Regis And Kelly from 9-10 Ellen from 10-11 and Martha Stewart from 11-12..Now Regis is leaving and Ellen is gone...now I'm full of choices do I come home and go back to bed till 11 or get a job!? HMMMMM!!! Ya I choose SLEEP (so does Rocks)!!! LOL!!!

Hi Everyone!!!! Well this morning after my run with my friend Laura ya know the one who pushed me while running a couple of months ago hehehehe!!!! I was going to come home and make a card but as I looked around my house I realized I haven't taken care of my house as good as I like, ever since I started quilting again I've been neglecting my chores, so today I am going to post my quilt that I made yesterday and go clean!!!! I'm looking forward to it. I like cleaning (no sarcasm whatsoever actually) I do :) ...I like washing windows and putting on a candle and feeling like my house is suitable for company :) ...I will do all that and I will be able to make a few cards for this week and not worry about my house looking like crud :) ...so I will see you all this week (everyday) with a card! Hi Everyone!!!!! Man O Man! it's hot around here :( ..can we get the cold yet (please!) ...I made this little quilt top last night :) ..I had to use Christmas prints to reassure myself that we ARE in Fall headed into Winter because as I was making it I was sweating! sheesh! ...So I decided to make a card in honor of this weather ..I used the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp ..the DP is from Basic Grey (Life Of The Party) ..The flowers are from Prima. A Prince Of A Dog And His Remote ;)

Hi Everyone!!!! I hit ya with a lot of pictures LOL! I couldn't resist..we were watching a movie and Rocks decided to lay on dad's pillow and hog the remote while he was at it :) ..If you touched the remote he would pop open an eye and stare you down LOL! ...Can you tell I'm still trying to figure out my phone..all of them were taken at the same time but one looks like it's daylight :) ...So is anyone else a fan of The Big Valley? I love that show even when I was younger, well between the hours of 12 and 2 they play two episodes, can I tell you I'm in heaven! yay! so I sew and watch it and smile because yep I'm getting old LOL! ...I also LOVE The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman! O Swoon when it finally comes out on DVD :) ..I will be back tomorrow to show you a card and my newest quilt top I have done :) I love it :) ..I have to tell you a quick story about my friend Agustina :) ..her birthday was yesterday (Happy Birthday!!!!) well Agustina is my OBGYN's nurse, so she's seen everything about me LOL!!! I have known her for years, when I started having card class she was first on board to come over, so she's a fun friend...anyways I see Agustina once a year in a professional manner, it wasn't till last year that she finally told me something about my Pee, see every year for the last 12 years I have gone and given a urine sample before my exam and I finally saw her throw it away and I'm like you didn't have to do anything with it? she's like no, it's only if your pregnant...UMMM WHAT!!!!! I have been peeing in this small cup all these years and you never said anything!? she's like no, it's not a big deal. I see it I dump it..(me) OMG!!!!! I have been doing this for nothing!? OMG!!! Agustina!!!!! sheesh!!!!! can you see I have been laughing about it ever since! it was only supposed to last 8 months and I have been donating it for YEARS!!!!! ..What a friend she is :) I hope you all have at least one friend like her :) .....

Hi Everyone!!!! It's working!!!! I bought the Droid Bionic...Wheww! I have lots to show you this week too, so hello Verizon I need you! We have been with them since 1997 so I knew they would come thru for me :) ..I have been sewing like mad too..I'm obsessed with quilting, so forgive me but you will see more quilts here pretty soon :) ..do you think I should have a separate blog for my quilts or just keep them here?? I lost one follower probably got tired of my sporadic posts LOL! I'm sorry! my hand is in a lot of places right now, speaking of that I finally went out of my comfort zone and attended a Quilt Guild Meeting (Hi Sheila) and I will tell ya I had a BLAST!!!!! I am joining for sure :) ..it's been a long long time since I've been treated with kindness and courtesy, people usually take one look at me and write me off as a POS and walk away, so I don't bother BUT not this time :) ..I have NEVER done things by myself I usually have Tim or kids with me but some nice people invited me to this meeting and wow! I put my big girl panties on and went...boy o boy I'm glad I did :) ... I can't wait for the next one LOL!!!!..Sorry! can you tell I had fun LOL! Technical Difficulties

Hi Everyone!!!! I'm having Technical Difficulties on my end :( ..I bought a new phone last week and now I can't upload my pictures, well my phone is what I use to watermark, upload and crop, it's so frustrating! I have been on the phone with Verizon and their kinda stumped too, so they are supposed to call me in the next day or two..Ugh!!! I hope they understand that I have pictures to show you all and it's important that it gets done ASAP! :) ..So Tim and I were trying everything to get my picture uploaded and I shoved this file to the Spam folder and I was able to get it..wheww!! Fun Time :)

Hi Everyone!!!! See I told ya I'd be late :) ..I had a blast at my mom's!!!!!! The top quilt is the one I did..it's not done I need one more border, there's a couple of new quilt shops that opened in my mom's town but their not up to snuff yet. So I couldn't finish it today :( so bummed but I get to go shopping again on Tuesday! whoo hoo! when it gets done and quilted I'll show it to you again!!! The second picture isn't the greatest but this is the quilt my mom did, she loves to applique..Umm ya it's time consuming and tedious, she loves it and she's great at it!!!! aren't the witches fantastic!? they have real eyelashes on them :) ..I should have taken a close up of them..darn it! I'm having so much fun quilting but I will be getting back to cards..my nieces birthdays are this week, so I need two original cards for them :) ..I better get busy! ...Have a great night!!!

Quilt Convention 2011 & Rocks

Hi Everyone!!!! WOW!!! I did not mean to neglect my blog for a whole week!!! time flew by..My mom and I have been looking forward to today for a month and a half (a major quilt convention that comes to the area once a year) well since I just got back into quilting again, it was the perfect time!!...I just got home, we finally stopped when we ran out of money 5 hours later!!! LOL!!! I will show you a picture of everything I bought. I'm so excited to start cutting LOL! so tomorrow I will be going to my moms house and we will be quilting all day, so I hope to show you a top :) ...Thank you for sticking with me :) ...I had to show you some quilts that were displayed that caught my eye, there was to many to show you here but click on the photo and see how much time these ladies devote to there craft! holy smokes!!! I'm so proud of her...she entered a lot of things and all of her stuff placed :) So proud of her!!! She was so excited!!!! I should show you in the future some of her quilts, she's done a lot of them and a lot of them have a lot of work put into them :) ...She was even offered $500.00 for one but she didn't accept..Ummmm I don't know about you but that's a lot of stamps and paper I could buy with that money and maybe a cheesecake thrown in :)

Halloween and a Bedtime Story ;)

Hi Everyone!!!! I made this card this morning..Yay! So yesterday I was with my mom quilting and she asked me to pick up her fair stuff last night. I said sure ...she did NOT tell me that she entered all kinds of stuff! I was by myself by the way.... SO I had to carry a butt load of her stuff! I'm not sure if my mom knows that I'm super fat and carrying armfuls of fabric, crochet blankets and a tote equals EXERCISE! and ya I'm fat so that means I unintentionally was FORCED to use my legs, back, arms and I'll tell ya my heart was beating HARD! I had sweat on my upper lip (gross) sweat on my back and once I sat down I was breathing smoke because did I tell ya that I had to park about a half a mile away from the pavilion!!!! holy crap! THANKS MOM!!! (said with deep love and loud sarcasm)!!! ... If I hadn't already ate my months quota of food at her house I would have added points to my journal!!! So moral of the story ask before pick up! and show your mom that your stomach really protrudes and your arms are equal to T Rex's ...... Hi Everyone!!!! I did it! I made a card last night :) ..It's a simple one but I'm kinda distracted..I want to make another quilt so I had to pick a pattern and that led to what do I need to buy at the fabric store which led to thinking of colors LOL! AND watch BL, so busy night hehe...but one thing I did yesterday was sew on my card BUT after quilting all weekend I went to sew on my card and the Sew Mini is CRAZY! it's loud and clunky and it took off like it was a race horse trying to get in the lead! sheesh! I kept all my fingers because hello did I mention how it's a race horse? and my fingers took off with the paper..eeesh! I'm OK with piercings but not my fingers, there's no fun in that ;) ...but wow what a difference in machines :) ...The DP is from Basic Grey (Oliver) and the image is from La La Land (Luka) ..the brads and ric rac are all from my "stash" ...I did use liquid applique on the skull..The sketch is from Sunday Sketch & Stamp..It's been awhile since I did my DT work for them that I'm surprised they haven't kicked me off the team..I suck..

My 1st Quilt On My Own :)

Hi Everyone!!!!! Well I did it!!! I made my first quilt all on my own! I'm so proud of myself and yep I'm lucky I made that appt because that totally made me finish it, in fact I finished it a half hour before my appt! Wheww! What do you think? Hi Everyone!!!! ..I've been obsessed with quilting right now and I made an appt to get my Top quilted but it's not finished so I made an appt to make sure I get it done and now I'm panicking it needs to be done by Tuesday and this is a massive quilt! LOL!!! I can't wait to show you..My mom is proud of me since this is my first quilt that I am doing on my own (nobody looking over my shoulder) It's nerve racking :) so I'm sorry I get consumed by crafting LOL! and we were invited to a get together tomorrow so I get to bake yay! and Sunday is our 5K run!!!! whoo hoo!!! so lots of things happening that we are looking forward to..OK to be honest I'm looking forward to getting junk food AFTER the run!!!!! It's been two weeks since we started WW and I have lost 10 pounds (so when I walk I only have two chins that gobble) ;) ...that's my reward for being so good and for actually signing us up and doing it :) ..OK OK it's an excuse to have junk food (yes, I'm weak..yes, San Fran has some awesome desserts and we don't get to go there often) I know I know!!! excuses!!! I Love Ikea :)

Hi Everyone!!!! Well my oldest moved out almost two weeks ago, so I inherited a new sewing room..Yay!!! I have a AWESOME husband, he made my room happen..We went to Ikea on Saturday and found these awesome tables..one cutting table and one sewing (glass) table which I absolutely love!!! ..I went to a baby shower on Sunday and came home to the room painted the tables set up and ready to use..did I mention how AWESOME he is!!!! ..what a great surprise :) ...It's so clean and functional..I can't wait to sit down and sew! I'm shopping with my mom on Saturday so let's see what other fabric I can find :) ...I LOVE YOU TIMOTHY!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!!! I SO APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR ME!!!! :)
I made this rag quilt and a pillowcase for my friend's baby shower and LOL! I gave her the wrong quilt O boy!!! I showed her a picture of this quilt which was hers but she liked the one I gave her (the froggy one) so LOL! I'm a dork..so this one will be for sale in my Etsy store :) ..I'm almost back to making cards..now you can see why I haven't been making cards, between Chiy moving out, we put new carpet in Cordell's room plus painted it..then I was making the rag quilt and pillowcase for my friend..plus making one to sell and getting my sewing room ready..AND there's 5 huge lawn/trash size bags out on the curb waiting for Hope to pick up..so major changes at my house :) ..thank you for sticking with me :) ...Have a great day!! and yay THOR is on DVD today..Yummmm! :)

Hi Everyone!!! OK the winner of yesterday's candy (candy, whimper)...is Agustina!!! ..Well this morning I went for a run AND I FELL!!! I think my friend Laura pushed me but I have no proof..hehehe just seeing if she reads my blog..LOL!!! I tripped on the sidewalk and if I wasn't wearing a super tight sport bra..I'm positive my cantaloupe boobs would have cushioned my fall and all I would have had to do was the "superman" move but because I can't run unless I make two boobs into one boob (ya it's a sight, it's like a big goiter on my chest but have you seen any sport bra that doesn't do that? sheesh! :) that didn't happen so now I have scraped knees and sprained wrists..but hey we finished the run :) .....Have a great Friday!!!

Hi Everyone!!! OK one more quilt..well maybe one more if I don't get around to making a card :) ..We as a family started WW again and can I say..I really got used to my 3 chins that today I'm chomping at the bit..sheesh! Hi Everyone!!!! I'm getting closer to sitting down and making a card..I promise! The winner of Marlene Monkey is Diana!! and yes Diana! I sure did miss you :) ..I can count on you and Agustina to make a sweet comment and make my day! Last night I talked to Tim and told him I was thinking of taking down my blog since I haven't faithfully blogged in the last 2 months..he was against it..I just feel like I'm into a lot of other things besides making cards and I'm not sure if you really want to see my decorated cookies or my quilts..and I love to bake and cook..so just a lot of things.. :( and now with me wanting to get into canning..sheesh it's just a lot..I don't have people ordering SU from me either so I'm in jeopardy again of losing my demo-ship and I hate that but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to offer to get people to order from me..Oui! Schneider Christmas Gifts 2010

My New Christmas Bag/Purse

Hi Everyone!!!! OK I have been really obsessed with sewing right now..I'm sorry!!! and this morning I have been making a cherry pie and a death by chocolate trifle all for my hubby..just because I love him so much :) and later on this afternoon I am headed out to see my tattooist he needs to finish my back piece..so it's been a fun weekend and I'm so sorry! Hi Everyone!!! I ditched my blog for a whole week!!! it's been a whirlwind, Cordell started school and it was his 13Th birthday on Wednesday August 24Th :)..My baby is growing up..Love you Cordell!!! :) ....I made this card this morning, it was hard to find my mojo..I'm just not feeling it...I have been quilting again and having so much fun doing that that I've kinda lost my way with my cards..So I hope to start back up soon....I will show you my latest rag quilt I'm making hopefully tomorrow or Sunday..I will be selling it thru my Etsy shop..OK so this card was really simple (like I said no mojo) ...I used DP from my "stash" ...The image is one of the latest stamps The Greeting Farm has out..I love her! Rocks On Drugs..Donuts..and Baby Bootie Card Again

Hi Everyone!!!! We all made it! It's Friday! and yep Cordell loves all of his teachers, so it should be a great year....How about you? Did you guys have a good week? ...My poor Rocks had his teeth cleaned yesterday and 2! teeth extracted my poor LoveBuggy!! so the pictures are of him droopy eyed and on drugs :) ...he snored the whole night LOL!!! But he came out even more beautified :) :) ....yesterday I took my boys with me to Michael's (I had coupons) hehe so I bought 3 things...two of them were the new Wilton donut pans they have out, after Tim and I talked he and I thought it would be fun for me to wake up early and make fresh hot donuts..I DID!!! and they were yummy (not the best) LOL! because ya hello FRIED is Da Bomb!!! My third chin is all about fried foods I tell ya ....On to my card..yesterday's post was about the New Holiday Stocking Die, that I wanted to use not just for the Holidays..well I wanted to make it into a gift card holder plus card..I think I accomplished that :) ...everything is still the same DSP Nursery Nest # 122347..the buttons are all from SU...I did sew around the edges of the die and card but it's not my best job..I get distracted easily (Squirrel) ...and it was late :) ..So just ignore my not so straight lines :)...I hope you have a fabulous day!!!!

Baby Bootie!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!!Sheesh yesterday was busy and I didn't know it was early day all this week.. So at 12:15 yesterday Cordell calls and says..Umm mom did you know it was early day all this week? I get out at 12:05... Me: umm Cordell if I knew it was early day all this week I would have already been there, so no I didn't!.. Cordell: OK! well mom we get out early all this week and I love all my classes!!!! So I'll wait out front for you..So all I heard throughout the whole night is, "mom forgot me on the first day of school"....O boy (the trauma!!!) He's going to tell his kids one day how Grandma forgot me and I had to wait a whole 15 minutes for her to get me... never mind his entire life I have been outside the school a whole half hour before school gets out :) :) dang kid.. :)
My new SU stuff came in and O boy! I new when I bought the Stocking Die that I would use it for Baby Booties and other fun stuff instead of just for Christmas..For this baby bootie I sealed it all the way around so that you can put a gift card in it :)..I will be doing more with this die..You can order it Sept 1st! ...All the DSP is from Nursery Nest #122347 ..The stamp is from set Easy Events #123225 ...The ribbon is beautiful and it's Marina Mist #120929.. Hi Everyone!!!! O boy! I have been so addicted to My Digital Studio! I made an entire 12x12 calendar..I can't wait to show you and I have been quilting. I also asked my friends if they know how to do there own Canning, I got some real good advice and a couple of them will share recipes with me :) ..I so want to do it :) ..I hope to try my hand at it soon, I'm buying all the stuff for it tomorrow :) ...so my card making took a hit but I made this card last night. I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop...what do you think?? My good friends Anniversary is soon, so I thought of them :) ..The image is a High Hopes image and the DP is from B0-Bunny (Crazy Love)..The sentiment, ribbon, metal embellishments and gems are all from my "stash" ..The flower is from Prima...I hope you like it :) ..Well Cordell starts 8Th grade tomorrow..3 more years and we will buy him a car and he can take himself..whoo hoo!!! my baby's growing up...I'm so sad that Summer is over..I love having my kids around me (good and bad) ... ..I'm hoping to play today with some new SU product..My box should be here by 5:30!!! Hi Everyone!!! I don't have a card..I ended up quilting yesterday but I did order a lot of stuff in the last two days..whoo hoo!!! So lots of new things to show you next week..I did pre-order a little bit from the Holiday Mini..I can't wait to play!!! I went apartment hunting in Monterey with Chiyanne..and since we are paying for it, we kinda get to decide where she will live and Cordell's birthday party with his friends is Sunday..Which takes time and planning and of course school starts Wednesday...Lots happening..so anyways I did a really simple card last night using a very simple sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches .. I'm back to playing again and it feels good :) ...I always seem to gravitate to The Greeting Farm stamps when I do a lot more techniques or just want that extra cuteness :) ..Gosh there my favorite stamps next to SU of course ;) ..did you all see the new one's? O I am so there...anyways this card was made using the sketch from a fellow DT at Sunday Sketch & Stamp ..I loved this sketch (you should try it too) ...All the DP is from Basic Grey (Sweet Threads) ...the ribbon, buttons, pink hemp, metal embellishment and metal dragonfly are all from my "stash" ..I did distress all the edges of the DP..I also paper pieced her outfit and pop dotted her...now I'm not sure if I'm keeping this card or selling it LOL! ..I hope you all have a fabulous day :)

Hi Everyone!!! Sorry about yesterday..Tim and I went to Monterey and walked the beach, wharf and had lunch at Phil's Fish Market..Rocks loved all of it..He absolutely loves his stroller so he had a good day too :) ...As I was making this card I had big plans for it BUT the dang Nestie shifted on me and creased my image, so it became a really simple card :) ..I figured I would throw it away so didn't want to waste to many pretty embelly's ...So I used a Sarah Kay image and Basic Grey DP ( Bittersweet) ..The brads and ribbon are all from my "stash" ..So do me a favor and don't look to close LOL!!! ..Totally rookie move on my part hehe..O well! ..I'll show you a better one tomorrow

I'm really bummed, my kids ditched me LOL! they wanted to spend time with there grandparents..Well now that there old enough I guess it's OK.. this is Cordell's 3rd time spending the night at his grandparents and he's almost 13 LOL! so I guess I can cut the cord just a little and Chiy hasn't really been home since she got her license so I'm used to her being gone LOL!..but now I'm home alone, which is kinda lonely :( ..so I guess I'll go play and maybe get me a special treat for dinner..Hmm what sounds good ;) ....Anyways here's another version like I promised..Love this DSP I'm not done showing you more ways to use this paper but tomorrow I will have a non SU card. Hi Everyone!!! The weekend is finally here :) ..What are your plans? I am doing nothing but sewing, baking and making cards..It's just me and Cordell home so easy peasy..I got my new SU stuff and I decided that I am going to show you how versatile this new DSP is..because when you first look at it in the catalog..you think..I don't have any "themes" to match this paper..Nah it's OK and skip right over it, it's to kiddy. BUT I will show you that's not true..So this DSP is Big Top Birthday #122348 and the stamp set is Easy Events #123225 ..Isn't this kinda elegant? I love how it turned out..I played along with Friday Mashup (color challenge)...The butterflies are Beautiful wings #118138 ..Basic Pearls #119247..The only thing not SU is the flower that's from Prima..I thought it matched perfectly so I went with it.. :) ...I did use Crystal Effects #101055 over the thank you sentiment to give it more of a pop..O and I water colored the flowers on Watercolor Paper #122959..using the Aqua Painter #103954 ..I absolutely adore SU's satin ribbon Whisper White #114616 (I can't get enough of Satin Ribbon) anyone interested in a Buy In of all the colors? if so LMK and I'll figure out how many people I need to make it affordable :).. Hi Everyone!!!! See I have a brand new card to show ya..I had fun creating this..the colors made me happy :) ..All the DP is from My Mind's Eye (Lime Twist) ....The image is from IDK :( ..It's been awhile since I've bought new stamps from SU or other companies that I just can't remember..Sorry! Hi Everyone!!! My Friday Funny! Did ya know Rocks likes to sleep A LOT ..No I don't think I've ever said that on here..LOL!!! He's pretty funny because he snores like a truck driver but when I'm near him he opens his eyes and he will continue to snore while watching to see what I'm doing, his snore sound never changes :).. .The second picture is how he actually lays down, sorry for the cruddy picture but it was kinda dark and he was sleeping (no really) and I wanted to catch him in his sleeping wonder but I was to late, the chair squeaked when I moved LOL! Vegas Bound And A Thank You

Hi Everyone!!! It's been a crazy two days..all yesterday I cooked and today all morning I have baked..all for my boys to enjoy :) and I have to wake up at 2:30am and cook some more.. I LOVE IT!!!! :)!!! (no sarcasm) I really do :)...My boys like my cooking and baking so I know they will appreciate it.. I don't know about my BIL's though LOL!! But hey I tried to make a variety so there's gotta be something they might like LOL!!!
Chiy and I will be sending the boys off and we will have enough time to wash dishes and clean the kitchen up, then we will make the 2 hour drive to the airport and off we go!!! Whoo Hoo!!! We are so looking forward to this :) ..I will have a Friday Funny for you but no cards :( Sorry!!! I will be home Saturday so I will have blog candy on that day, so make sure you come back....( This is the last time we will be gone for the Summer LOL!!) so I need to start buying new SU stuff to show you..BECAUSE!!!! I talked to my wonderful, awesome hubby and we will be going to SU convention next year in Salt Lake City Utah!!! So I have to stay active :) :) ..I can't wait to see the new Holiday Mini!!!! Sheesh!! I think this whole post has been about ME gee whiz sorry!!! I'm just so excited!! :)

Butterflies Take Me Away

Hi Everyone!!! I had such a blast with my hubby this whole weekend, all we did was watch movies in bed and eat..We will be away from each other for 4 days and that really bums us out but he will be having a good time with his brothers and his son..My boys are headed to Comic-Con in San Diego, it's the first time Cordell will be going, it's a Schneider BOYS only trip but he will be 13 next month so now he is old enough (4 days of pure walking and standing!) Luckily he's not a whiner ..I hate whinny kids blah! but my kids don't whine because I never tolerated that LOL!!! AND Chiy and I will in Las Vegas! Whoo hoo!!! We will be watching the Thunder Down Under LOL!!!! So I will try to have cards for a pre post but no promises :) ..I do have a card for tomorrow..I started off with this sketch from a fellow DT from Sunday Sketch & Stamp ..Come play, it's a nice simple sketch..I wanted to keep the thank you cards simple because I know that most of them will be thrown away..Everything is from SU except the ribbon..The butterflies are #118138 Beautiful Wings.. Hi Everyone!! Thank you for the sweet comments! Well I ended up getting sick again, my stupid Thyroid is giving me problems..so I went to the doctors today and yep more blood tests tomorrow..My neck now has two balls inside instead of one..Grr!! So I have been exhausted..I couldn't even get out of bed a couple of days ago..It's so depressing..She did put me on some new medication (I hope it works)...So needless to say, no crafting but tonight I will be, so please come back tomorrow :) I will have a card..I have lots of Thank You cards to make..Thank you again for sticking with me..See ya tomorrow :)

Hi Everyone!!! Isn't Tim's cake fantastic!! Love it! Worth every penny..My cake lady has so much talent sheesh! ..I made this card last night. Tim has a radio guy that he likes, so I invited him and his wife to Tim's party, well I have never met either of these people but when they showed up she brought a crock pot of dip with a side of chips..isn't that the nicest thing ever!? I use that sentiment a lot on my cards (Because Nice Matters) well that was nicest thing that she did...With this card I had mixed reviews from Tim and Chiy..Tim says it's kinda Funeral-ish..(not a word I know) and Chiy and I looked at it and felt it was Elegant but Chiy did say she can see what he's talking about but to just go with it..What do you think?? would you love it or think it's to dark and funeral-ish LOL! ..Everything is from SU .. Now I barely found out that I'm on probation with my Demo status..I was so bummed (I wasn't aware) (if I had a good up-line they would have told me) Grr! Hi Everyone!!! OK so no hangover, just THIRSTY FOR WATER!!! LOL!!! Tim had a blast! It was so much fun!! I love my husband :) ...My goal was accomplished thanks to friends :) (he was drunk) hehe but he's a controlled drunk he never even fell down LOL! and he was still funny and witty :) ...But I'm sure you know what I mean when I say "where's the sand?" I need to bury my head in it :) ..my house is destroyed LOL!!! and Tim went to work today and LMK this morning he will be gone for 72 hours again! O boy! anyways on to the card

Hi Everyone!!!! OK so the super secret project I have been working on is a surprise 40TH birthday party for Tim!!! His actual birthday is July 12TH but we are partying tonight! So I still have lots to do..I will have a card tomorrow (hopefully I will post with no hangover) ;) hehehe...Of course it's not a party, unless Rocks supports it! he will be greeting dad with his hat on LOL! The last picture is Rocks hangover look..if he doesn't get 20 hours of sleep a day he's done, stick a fork in him :)
